    Yep, I have used a few versions of Sanyo-Denki, both DC and BLDC and found them to be fairly standard to control, encoders, commutation etc.
    Makes it easy to mix and match motors to drives.

    Off topic, do you reckon its possible for me to retro fit my old Okuma LB15 lathe using the original BLDC servos only with new incremental encoders on all the servo ends and run new / used BLDC drives? All on Linuxcnc with Messa cards, if yes then what sort of off BLDC drives could handle the job? These servos are pretty beefy!
