Re: UC100 and Spindle speed off

Ok. Do you know what frequency (step ) to voltage board you are using?

Also, most CNC frequency to voltage converters use a steps per setting of 20000.

Another thing to try is setting the step pulse to a larger value for the spindle axis.

    Cheers

    Peter

Peter, like I said it works with the parallel port, not with the UC100. I was reading something that the UC100 doesn't send pulses out at 100k max, something like 50k or 29k. Sooo, there's a numerator setting on the servo controller that reduces the number of pulses to the servo, that might have to be adjusted to accommodate.

So, as suspected the UC100 can't keep up with the servo controller like the parallel port did. Within the servo controller you can set a "electronic reduction" to decrease the number of steps per revolution. It was set at 25/5, or 5 to 1. I changed it to 20/1, no problems. I might try 10/1, but for now, working just fine.Attachment 501798Attachment 501800https://www.facebook.com/10000125276...0257017953172/

Thanks for all the help??? Hopefully somebody else can use this information.
