    Re: unrecoverable memory error

    Hi All,

I ran into a unrecoverable memory error at 007B today, but next to that I suspect some more memory issues.
Before the memory error occurred already, when I looked at the tool table, the DT command shows very weird values (see attached picture)
Also the parameters and the BL values were lost which I have to re-enter every time the machine starts (looks like at least a broken backup battery)

Would a zero memory procedure be sufficient here or would these issues mean a new CPU board?

Any help is very much appreciated

    Re: unrecoverable memory error

I got some really weird stuff on the screen after I pulled the memory board out to replace the battery. It took a few restarts before I could even get it to start up so I could zero the memory.

I would definitely try the zero memory procedure. I would also recommend replacing the memory board battery if you don't know how old it is.

This video shows how to replace the battery.
