Deep CNC Milling - At least 3-1/2" LOC end mill bits?

    Hello,

I'm hoping others can share their solutions or tooling choices when trying to do at least 3-1/2" length of cuts for end mill bits. We very commonly need to route out parts from 3-1/2" to 3-1/4" thick lumber. We are struggling finding affordable solutions to achieve this length of cut.

We can use tooling up to 1" diameter but certainly prefer 1/2" diameter bits. Best we've been able to find is 3" LOC. Which is also a fairly standard Freud bit.

Best we've found is this 3" single flute off Amazon. But just not deep enough.

Here's one I found without too much searching. Not cheap, though...
