I will be upgrading my spindle soon to a 2.2kW GMT from Ugra. Andy recommends the Delta VFD.

Has anyone set one of these up to be controlled from Mach3?

I have read about the Hitachis being setup for control and assume that this must be similar, but would rather know before purchasing it.

Yes, the Delta VFD can be controlled from Mach 3.
It worked great. I ran it in a production shop for 10 years.

Hi,
I have used Mach4 for nine years, and Mach3 before that. I have always used Delta VFD's.

I have only ever bothered with On/Off control with analogue 0VDC-10VDC for speed control. Has worked perfectly. I have no real need for Modbus control.
I have long ago had experience with Mach3 Modbus and swore I'd never do it again. Mach4 Modbus is a dream by comparison. In fact Mach4 Modbus is a reason to ditch
Mach3 and step up to Mach4 on its own....without any of the other advantages of Mach4.
