I've recently come into possession of a Romer/CimCore Infinite CMM arm (model #5024)

The arm seems like it is in working condition (no obvious damage anyway) but I do not have the software or the data files that would have shipped with it. I'm trying, in my spare time, to get it into some sort of operating condition.

At the moment, I am stuck because I need an 'armspec' file for this arm or one like it. I did try to contact Hexagon Metrology (they bought out Romer a while back) -- but that was a dead end, they could or would not provide the needed data file.

Is there anyone on this forum who still has the an armspec file for one of these old arms and is willing to share that file with me? I understand that the files contain data that is specific to each arm, and I'm not overly concerned about that. Eventually, I may be able to reverse-engineer the file contents. But, for right now I think I just need any valid armspec file in order to make WinRDS start up and talk to the arm. At that point I'll be able to see if, for example, all the joints are sending good looking data. If that all looks good, I can decide whether or not to continue working on bringing this thing back from the dead.

Along similar lines -- I'm also looking for anyone who might have a dead Romer Infinite arm, with the original set of probe/stylus tips. My arm only has one probe tip and I'd sort of like to get the rest of the original set. Obviously they aren't being manufactured anymore, as these arms are about 10yrs old.

If anyone can help me out, please let me know.
