I have 2 770M's with passive probes. I'm finding that after a week of usage, the passive probe has lost it's center. Usually off by a thou. I've been trying to figure out:
A. Why it is shifting
B. How to prevent it

My biggest suspicion is when it's put into the spindle, there is a clear impact when the tool holder hits the TTS ring. I assume that shock is shifting things.

I've replaced the centering set screws with different head geometries, experimented with different tightness levels.

Anybody else experience the same thing?

Anybody know if the active probe has the same issues?
