I am new to metal lathes and want to build a chess set with metal pieces. I have done this before on a wood lathe, using a duplicator to help replicate the same chess pieces.

My pieces are only 5 inches high and 1 inch in diameter. I am looking to spend no more than $1,500, but I can find a duplicator to help with the replication or a low-cost, simple software CNC lathe.

Any help would be appreciated.
