    help

hi im very new to this,

I'm machining a rectangular face, cutting along both the X and Y axes. The finish on the Y-axis cuts is smooth, but the X-axis cuts have noticeable ridges that can be felt with a finger. Since the Y-axis cuts are fine, I assume it's not an issue with the cutter, speed, or feed rate. What could be causing the ridges along the X-axis, and how can I fix them?

    Re: help

    Tram of your machine....
Meaning the Z axis is not perpendicular to the base in the both X and the Y planes
It will also show up if you go around the outside of a shape in depth cuts.... one face would show steps.
