    Jog crazy on OSP 700M

After a parameter restore on an OSP 700M Okuma mill, the feedrates on the jog feedrate selector switch are all crazy. Is there any parameter to correct this?

There is not a parameter that I'm aware of...was the reason for the restore that you reloaded or updated the software? If yes, I think you need to have it redone and corrected.

If not, then can you be more specific as to what exactly happens with the switch?

    JOg crazy

Yes, I installed a new memory card and reinstalled the software. Afterwards, I restored the parameters.

If you have the old memory card, power off, put it back in and see if when you boot with the old software your switch works correctly. If it does, you've got a software issue.

If the reason you replaced the memory card is that it doesn't work, check to see if there is more than one version of software in the back of your machine and try to load a different version onto the new card to see if it works.

By the way...which Jog key is giving you fits and what exactly is it doing?

I don't think it's a parameter setting - never heard of one for what you describe...

Re: Jog crazy on OSP 700M

    Hi there,

i have the same issue with my Okuma mill osp 7000 controller 2000 model, I purchased a preowned machine with Dutch software,
i order original software from Okuma distributer who have replaced the software with English version, however. after the installation of the software and machine reconfigured.
every thing work well except Jog Key. for example the 0 become at the middle of the key and once i move it speeds jumps from 32ipm to 144 to 245 etc... it's not sequence
and i don't know what is the speed of the movement until I see the current speed on the screen. also am afraid to move the key while machine in manual cutting because suddenly it may jump to a verry high speed

wondering if some one can help in this issue
