Hi.
I have a complete -59 LP modeled in rhino.
The neck is digitized from my -53 GoldTop and the body is based on a 2d drawing made by Peter "Max" Baranet and the Stew/Mac -59 drawing and a whole bunch of pictures of the real thing.
If anyone is interested I can attach the model.
How can this be used to cut the actual guitar ?? sorry I am very new to the CNC world and am just curious.
GooCart,
I am very interested in your model. Your model looks very good. If you could post here it would be great
I'm trying to upload the file but it failed.
?
What file type are you using? It is sometimes easier to zip the file first then post it my friend.
I zipped the rhino file, the zipp is 2.5 meg.
well zip it this way. Zip files can be up to 8.5 MB.
It's time to go to bed here in Sweden, I'll try again tomorrow.
Good night..
Nope, I can't upload the zip. Hmm...
I could send it to you in a email.
Here you have some images of the model as an appetizer.
Hello GooCart,
I have just sent you a pm with my email address and would love to have a copy of the file. I put a double cut here on the zone both as a zip and a iges.
It isn't totally complete, but if you need it.....have fun. I am curious as to why your file is so heavy though? Can you give an idea as to what processes you used in the modeling?
Mike

GooCart,
I just reread your previous post. Is it possible that you are trying to include renderings in with the model while zipping? If you only zipped the surfaces maybe that would make the model small enough to get through?? Just a thought.
BTW I have a very good friend from Sweden, out on the big island. He has written a cam plugin for Rhino called Madcam. If all Swedes are like him, that would have to be a great place to live! In fact, I am waiting on a Skype call from him now.

Turmite, the zip is just 2 meg so I don't think thats the problem. Anyway, if anyone else is interested of the file, just drop me a pm with your email adress and I'll send it to you.
Magnus.
GooCart,
Renderings look good my friend. If you don't mind could you email the file to me also?
Thanks,
Michael

Magnus here is the file zipped and loaded.....I hope.
Mike
edited: I opened it from the zip so it works!

Thank's Turmite,
I don't know why I couldn't post the file but now it's there for you guys to use it. It would be fun to hear if anyone would build the ultimate burst replica with the file
GooCart,
Thanks a lot. You are very good.
Hi I just tried to right click and Save as and it downloaded ok, but for some reason when I click on the file it says windows cannot open this file, any help would be appreciated. I have Autocad 2005 so I would of thought it would of opened in that program, help would be appreciated.
Kammo1, the guitar is modeled in Rhino 4 so I suggest you download a evaluation version of rhino and export the file to acis or another file format Autocad can read.
Here you have a link. http://www.rhino3d.com/download.htm
