    Question H2O Damage!

There's a stainless steel cover in the middle of my edm's table. It sprang a leak and the lefthand slide got contaminated with water.
I'm stripping down my Hitachi to fix this catastrophy!!!
While i'm doing this i would like to repaint the table as well.
I'm thinking in the line of using something like Glatex 8 (enamel that has hardener mixed in, much the same as 2k but it's acid, chip & chemical resistant).

I would like to know of anyone that has done this before, is there anything i should keep in mind.

There's one thing bugging me. If i dismantle the slides must i leave the machine at it zero point? What about the encoders?

All inputs would be appreciated as i am a BIG idiot when it comes to electronics and computor related stuff! LOL!

I'm lazy, I'm only "sparking" when the EDM is running....

My baby is back together again, i used the Glatex. I had some problems with the zero point return, but all worked out just fine!
