    Docking station

Can I use a laptop to run the xylotex board if my laptop is connected to a docking station with a parallel port? If so, even is the docking station is connected via the USB port? This could be a cheap alternative to getting to use my laptop to run my machine.

I've never used a docking station, but from what I have read, it basically will run anything a desktop will run correct?

    Thanks,

    Jim

If it's connected via usb it will probably not work.
It's ok for sending data to a printer but not for realtime control.

    Maybe this is a solution : http://www.warp9td.com/

    But it isn't released yet.
