    Cheap servo controller

I finished new single servo controller card for 3 DC brush motors.

    Circular motion video here.

(I didnt use extra shaft encoder. My milling machine has DRO unit and i used its 5um magnetic type linear encoders for feedback.)

    (Sory video language is Turkish)

    hello,
i have a friend who has a milling machine very close of yours and the same dro
i work very actively on the list diy servo controller
i have made some test with the uhu drive and a home made linear encoder taken from a printer
it work fine but the precision of the encoder was no enough
now i have made the new hp uhu
and i want to test with his encoder 1/2 micrometer quadrature encoder
do you copy the A anb B signal through a ds928 chips ?
anyway i am very please to see a success on this field

Encoders are original 5um linear type magnetic.
I take A and B signals from encoder connector. (Normaly this signals differansiyel type (AA' and BB') but I use only A and B)

Maximum steady state error of my electronic controlled miling machine is only 40um.

Why my system too cheap you can see by this picture.
(Also this card is not only servo engine. This is also interpolator.)

On next days i will make pcb and if i like from performance i begin to sell.

    Smile DC servo driver

    Hello Bunalmis,
How is this driver cheaper than other? How much for the DC servo driver?

Single card (single processor) = 3 servo controller + 1 Handwheel encoder input + indexer

You need extra 3 power card.

One power card = 4 MOS + 2 MOS driver + few component + pcb.

Real price not calculated yet. But may be arround of 50$. (without power cards)
