Sorry about that. I have ACAD 2006 and had no problem. I will try to post an earlier version later today.
ger21,
Try this one please.
I can check tomorrow with 2002 at work. However, there are no surfaces or meshes in the .dxf. There's enough info to get the neck shape, but nothing for the carved top. Getting closer, though.

I would think you can save a .dxf from rhino that converted the nurbs to meshes, but I don't know how to do it.

Okay my fellow Les Paul Carve Top enthusiasts here is a file I hope you can all use.
P.S. Sorry not you ACAD "only" guys....
Hi Mike I saved the file which is an igs file but Autocad will not open the file, it must be me am I doing something wrong. I have Autocad 2005. Magnus the file you sent me which was a sat file Autocad will not open either. Many thanks guys for being helpful and patient CHEERS! Would it help if I rename the file as .dxf or.dwg would this help before I screw it all up.
AutoCAD won't open iges, but can import some versions of .sat. But you don't use "open" with an .sat file. Try Insert > ACIS file

Mike sorry I didn't read the post correctly, ger21 I don't understand when you say insert ACIS file where do I do this ?, oh boy this is getting frustrating as my computer knowledge isn't very good and without understanding what, to do where and when I feel like I'm going around in circles........
