how are those bearings holding up at that speed? I was thinking about making a pulley to spin at 8k.

Didn't realize but it's been almost 14 months since the high speed pulley mod.
Running great, have made lots of timing pulleys with it running flat out for 1/2 hour per pulley (5) with a few minute break in between.
Still doesn't even warm the head much beyond room temp.
One of the lucky ones I guess.
