    HF X2 Clone Bearing replacment

Quick question, I have converted my mini mill to belt drive. I am planning on replacing the bearings, as it seems that i have a good a amount of runout. Do I Have to reinstall the gears if I do a bearing replacement on the spindle.

Before you do that make sure you've tightened up the spindle nut enough. It can be a little tricky to get it right and if it's too loose you'll get noise and runout.

Runout or slop? Changing out the bearings will likely not eliminate runout... if it is runout it's unlikely that it is in the bearings.
