Does anybody have a trick to adjust the z height of the tool mid program?
The only way I can get it to work is to reset the file, which doesnt work very well wth a toolchange file.

No, I have not found a way to do it! I have run into instances when I would have liked to as well. I think it might be impossible with the way the techno software preprocesses files and sends them to the controller.
Pause the machine...double click the "Z" axis postion reading on main screen and enter the amount of axiz change i.e. if you enter -.25 it will lower the spindle .25. Click "apply" and then "resume".
Cheers Tim, works perfect.
This is truly an awesome tip! Was it in the manual anywhere?

yes, its on page 51. You really should read your manuals!
I read it but that doesn't mean I understood it! Thanks!

While running a Techno machine an offset can be created on any axis.
Pause the machine, Double click on the axis you want to change ( x,Y,Z, etc) Type in a positive number to offset the cutter to cut higher, and a negative number to cut deeper.
IE: I would type in -.1 to add that much depth to the cut.
Be carefull because the axis will do what you tell it to.
I forgot the point symbol once, and it indeed added 1 inch to the depth of the cut.
It was dramatic!!!
