I can't imagine a roller chain could be at all comparable to a highly precise lead screw when moving on the X any Y axis like his machine does (his uses a lead screw for the Z). the use of roller chain isn't anything new and after experimenting with it a few years ago myself , I'm all for the use of chain drive .
$3000 for a "machine" that is built with cheap angle and mdf is a bit much , I'm sorry but it is ,
