Hi,
Using Mastercam X2. Just received some models and need to align them to axis. How do I do that? I can't find the information in the book or software Help. I'm new to this.
Thanks

If you have the "solids" add-on you can use Xform Rotate and Xform Translate to relocate the solid as desired.
Most users, however find it easier and wiser to leave the solid where it is and create a new WCS at the new orientation and origin. This can be done whether you have the solids add-on or not.
You can learn some helpful techniques here... http://www.mastercam-cadcam.com/sample1.zip
Hi Matt,
Thanks for the information. That's what I have been doing so far but I thought that maybe there was a technique to take a plane and simply match it to an axis and get an automatic, precise placement. So far I've just measured the angle if possible and rotated accordingly. Some models make this a bit tedious method though. I will look at the link to see if that helps.
Thanks,
Stephen (I appreciate the logo)
The new "Dynamic Planes" feature introduced in X4 is quite helpful in reducing the tedious parts of this. It's not quite everything it should be but it helps a lot.
