The Chinese Steel Steal: How They Do It

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwgdhfOHfqg"]YouTube- The Chinese Steel Steal: How They Do It[/ame]
Scott Paul, executive director of the Alliance for American Manufacturing, explains how Chinese steel manufacturers gain an unfair trade advantage over their U.S. counterparts, even though U.S. plants are demonstrably more efficient and technologically advanced. He spoke to a group of bloggers at the Netroots Nation conference in Pittsburgh Aug. 13, 2009, after they toured the Mon Valley Works steel plant.

Good, but you will not see it in the mainstream media, therefore it doesn't exist.
As a side note, notice the driver slides right through the stop signs except the last, where he was stopped behind other vehicles.
I used to be appalled, now I'm just amused.

You are always going to get the obligatory 15 second blurb hidden behind the real news of what Paris Hilton is wearing or what Tiger Woods just did.
I'm talking about a 15 minute special or at least a mention of what was done about it by our esteemed legislators (nothing)

And God forbid that it would be mentioned in the high school civics class (remember them?)

Sorry to be so negative but it seems that the collective intelligence of the nation is rapidly going downhill.
All we care about here is the next month or maybe 3 months out while the Chinese are looking 5, 10 and 50 years out.
I used to be appalled, now I'm just amused.

    Things go according to plan.
Moving the industry off to China, India.
Destruction of the local production capabilities by saturating the market with cheap non taxed goods from China.
Ppl who live in the USA should really tune in to Alex Jones radio show and watch his movies like Endgame, The Fall of the Republic, Police State and others.
Ppl who live outside the USA should really tune in to Alex Jones radio show and...

While industry is growing in the China and India, USA people are getting more taxes, overall drop in quality of food production by introduction of Monsanto's pesticides and patented seeds and bovine growth hormone that yields milk polluted with hormones, puss and antibiotics. (Watch: "World according to Monsanto")

There is no need to apologize, just take action in spreading the information about the agenda of the IMF, UN, Builderberg Group and the rest of the globalist institutions.

What did tiger just do? LOL. I hear you. But thats why the Internet is awesome. I'd still like to point out, it's well known to those that "care" to know. This segment was taken from "The Accent of money" which ran on PBS.

Something seldom mentioned is the gains in productivity as far as it pertains to employment in the US. Scott Paul mentioned "wages are 10% of the cost of steel". We can do so much more with less people now. Which explains why........

"The United States remains the world's largest manufacturing nation even as China gains ground, according to a new study.
The survey released Tuesday by the US-based Manufacturing Institute with the Manufacturers Alliance showed that the US share of global manufacturing value has held at 22 percent in 2008, roughly the same level for nearly 30 years.
China's share last year was 14 percent, continuing a surge from its 1980 level of just two percent, according to the study using data from the United Nations, International Monetary Fund and other sources." October 7, 2009

I understand what you are saying, my problem here is that my sarcasm often does not come across as such. Workin on it.

I have often said that Americas biggest drug problem is the TV.
A large percentage of the population shuffles thru a day that they loathe and then come home and plant themselves in front of the TV for the reality shows and other garbage.
The quick little news blurbs you mentioned are hardly noticed, if at all.

Not only that but they are training our kids to be even more vacant than we are now.
Take a look at the shows for kids, look at them carefully, rarely will you see any one set theme for longer than 30 seconds usually it is flit, flit, flit from one scene to the next in 5 or 10 second intervals. No wonder that we now have such a high incidence of ADD

This whole thing has been going on for a while, don't know what it will take to wake people up. It is like Pogo, in a great old comic strip once said
"we have met the enemy and he is us."
I used to be appalled, now I'm just amused.

Maybe. Certainly has crimped peoples imagination. I'd even argue that "talk radio" is just as corrosive on the mind as "reality TV". But everyone has their "escape".
