    heya Mike.. Depends on what type of part it is.. If your doing 3D contouring, and touch all of your tools off of the top stock of the part.. What happens if you cut away that part with a ballmill and it ends up breaking? If there is nothing left to touch off on, your just guessing where your tool offset is when you insert the new tool.

    thanks guys, just wanted to make sure i had my head on straight. most of the machines i've ever run don't have this issue.
