I like the look of the X7. Its a beefy looking machine. One question.
How is it possible to use the flood coolant without it going everywhere around the floor without having an enclosure?
Beefy it is! a little above 900KG (2000lbs)
Also changing tools is a breeze.
A customer welded around the perimeter a metal sheet twice as tall as the current ones around the table, otherwise is a mess as you imagined when using coolant.
I purchased @ebay a mist unit for testing (accu-lube micro lubricator) it should work much better in the mess dept.

Is there a particular reason not to go with a full enclosure? Even if you are not using flood but just compressed air the chips end up everywhere. And even if you have a only a modest amount of coolant, drilling splashes it all over... and drilling is greatly benefitted by coolant. I have a much smaller machine (sx3/4)and a "full" enclosure that does not have a top (very handy to have the top open like that) but the walls are about 4 feet tall in relation to the table. I have next to zero cleanup, just shovel chips when it comes to that. I would never go back. Just a suggestion
Then again if you are happy with a large splash guard... well, you saved some
I just hang a heavy rubber curtain around the head, and use flood coolant without an enclosure. Can't see the job, but who cares. It is automatic.
Super X3. 3600rpm. Sheridan 6"x24" Lathe + more. Three ways to fix things: The right way, the other way, and maybe your way, which is possibly a faster wrong way.
One of our CNC lathes has a mist system. It is good but I think the flood is better. If the chips build up on the cutter when drilling the coolant doesn't get to the cutting edge. It doesn't use much coolant though in terms of replenishing the tank.
Does the X7 have a brushless spindle motor, is there any maintenance on the new spindle units?
I tough we would have seen the V7 model.
What happened with it?
Was looking to buy one but changed my mind.
Not enough info, too dangerous.

This is where Syil should have come on and explain or give more information on their product.
As usual, no reply.
This is why I not interested anymore buying a Syil.
