Hi there,
I would be interested in coming.
I've never been to a CNC BBQ so not sure how it works. Do we need to chip in for the hall hire, BBQ?
Do people just come with their own CNC machines to show?
I can bring a few parts or CNC machines if there is some space.
Thanks
Dan
Andrew,
thank you for organiseing the hall! I look forward to meeting you.
Dan,
I think we are all in the same boat: we can make the rules ourselves!
I intend to bring a few bits for show and tell - and some sausages and rolls
I won't bring beer because I will have to drive home for 2 hours - otherwise...
See you all there!

OK. house rules for the BBQ. We start with a blank sheet so as Joe says we make them as we go.
We have not been asked to pay for the facilities but a small donation of $5 and a clean hall once we leave will help if we want to do it again. That can off-set teh cost for the use of the gas in the BBQ. There is a limited number of soft drinks available for $1 each. I will check the fridge today sure they have not all gone.
The plan is BYO everything. The hall will have a few tables that we can put items on for display. I was thinking of bringing my home made CNC for display.
I will ask for a hand in setting up the BBQ as I do use a wheelchair.
Looking forward to the event.
Andrew
Andrew, I can give you a hand in setting up.
I am pretty close to Burwood and i'm happy to help.
Cheers Andy
Andy,
Thanks. I plan to be there abut 12:30 ish depending on traffic. The rooms will be in use in the morning for another group so watch for traffic coming the other way when entering the driveway..
Cheers,
Andrew
Hi Andrew
Look forward to meeting you all. I will with setup as well
John
Sound good. Thanks for organising!!
I wish I had known about this earlier, I would have organized a prize pool, a guest speaker and some other fun stuff. I'll try to make it this Sunday. I know a few others are also coming but havn't said so in this thread.
What are the chances of getting the same venue again as the last BBQ we had was 65 members, and finding a venue was the hard part.
How many machines will be on display?
Being outside the square !!!
The BBQ has not had much planning. I plan to bring my homebrew device for giggles and provide the location.
No door prizes, speeches or the like. If anyone wants to give a demo let me know.
Cheers,
Andrew
Thanks for organizing the day Andrew, it went well.
Cheers.
Being outside the square !!!
Thank you from me too, Andrew!
A nice day - very interesting, informative and inspiring displays, your machine, Dan's ("CNC and Cupcake World" ) demo machines and everyone else's parts and pieces.
I'm fired up to do something about completing my lathe now and building my first CNC mill.
Nice to meet you all in person!
Cheers,

Thank you all for the kind words and to everyone who turned up. It all went well and the weather even played along nicely.
Someone left a wine cooler with a "Change of Heart" logo. Please contact me on 0434083854 and we can get it back to you.
Cheers,
Andrew
Well, July 2 & 3 is this weekend.
The Bendigo National Model Engineering Exhibition is on, and I'm happy to meet up with CNCzone members for a BBQ.
I haven't heard of anyone intending to attend, just Andrew's apology. So I'll assume I can pack a BBQ for one then (Big Mac) ....
See you all some other time.
Cheers,
Joe

I live in SE of Melbourne
I have a small Taig CNC mill.
It's just big enough for what I do.
Im looking for a larger CNC mill with an ATC.
Anyone know where I can get one here or would it be cheaper to ship it from overseas
