Looks like another machine is all packed up in the background of one of the photos.
Rustyh,
This is a very nice looking machine with apparent great attention to detail.
I do hope you start a new thread when it arrives and share your experiences with this machine!
Anyway, have fun with it!
Will be good to know the cost/sequence/taxes on shipping one to the uk.
I am also interested as to the UK shipping/import fees, also, very nice machine!
Very nice.

Hi Cristian.....no offence meant........too many side issues on other subjects have made the thread long and off topic too many times.
It would be better to start a new thread and invite all and sundry to comment on what you would like to have in a build, so that before the first piece of metal is cut you have full advice and design info.
We all like to participate in someone else's design, purely from the interest point of view.
It becomes a different issue if the new thread is specifically about your own design and does not want anyone adding their preferences etc.
In a new thread you can voice all your pet theories and invite criticism to see if they hold water......that way it can cover a vast range of topics allied to your build.
Ian.
Thats rather strange, I thought the thread header was "Show how to build a CNC machine from the very beginning to the end", maybe my browser missed off the words "for Ian's SVM-0 Only"
I think both Defeng and all the threads active members treat this as the thread for all of defengs products, as well as a discussion place for order progression, and Im almost certain members are keen to here about order status to help increase confidence that their orders (or future orders) will get processed.
If its ok with everyone, i will continue to share updates and then start a new thread once the machine has landed
Keep on Posting i am also interested to See How European customs do compared to US

Yes, please continue the updates.
skyfire started it it`s for him to say whats what as long as its based around his machine and people dive off and start there own about his machine and post back the good bad and ugly if you do a search for skyfire cnc you find this thread its the 3rd from the top in google then it all helps him out he`s so far slow as a wet week but his first machine to arrive is very good what people will find from here is other people who have his machine and what they are like

An excellent example of this is the Syil CNC line. They have lacked a reliable dealer who can resolve problems in the US, and that has really impacted the user experience. CNC mills don't tend to be a "plug and play" sort of thing, and trying to get something up and running when your only help is emails from halfway around the world coming via a chines-english translator program just doesn't cut it.
Hopefully Defeng has something that is more reliable than Syil had in the past, and he has already demonstrated a much stronger command of English than the Syil reps who posted here.
Things ar looking up.
Good news on the SVM-2. Those are some pretty machines. Nice to see completed units shipping... especially ones too big to fit in the front seat of a passenger car.
Looking forward to seeing some videos.

Tormach 1100-3, Grizzly G0709 lathe, Clausing 8520 mill, SolidWorks, HSMWorks.
I hope that if Defeng has agent in the US, I can still buy directly to Skyfire without any agent involve. I think the agent is for the US only.
