Nice.....you getting speed control through mach3
Nice.....you getting speed control through mach3
Not bad....
Just ran gcode from old test.
This did run but odd results.
There is no m3 or s commands in gcode.
Mdi - s0
Ext turned to 50%
Run gcode
Spindle turns on
Mach3 3 shows....
0 rpm
12000 s-ov
12000 spindle speed
Vfd - 380hz
This should be around 200hz
Edit.....reexamined gcode found
M03 and s12000
I am guessing that with the settings I've got s12000 does not = 50%

You cant ref your spindle on both the pot and mach3 at the same time.....
Do you have both the pot and mach3 wired to the VFD analog input??
I was told that was ok

I would not do it that way.....what are you trying to achieve?
Why not rather have remote/auto (mach3) and local/manual pot??
However....if I turn the pot to 0 and run the gcode the vfd stays at 0hz even though mach3 shows the gcode s speeds. It looks like the pot over rules mach3

you can get the huanyang to display RPM. Program PD144=3000 and now it will display 0 to 24000 set the display for ROTT
Ok you are right.
I unwired the pot completely.
I ran it again and the speed changed to the gcode. I've worked out that s6700 is 200hz which I guess must be 12000rpm.

I guess I need to change the mach3 pulley ratio now so that when I type s12000 it equals 200hz. At the moment it reads 350hz.
A job for tomorrow.

I've tried changing pulley 1s ratio but that didn't seem to do much.....but if I Change the max speed to 44000 and run a s12000 command the Vfd shows 200hz.
This seems like a work around as surely it should be the ratio I need to alter?
