Like I said, McMaster-Carr has a polymer filled epoxy, which is probably basically the same as moglice. But at the price it is, you'll probably want to use a very small amount for the actuall threads and then back it up with something cheaper.

What about using bronze filled epoxy, to get similar to a bronze nut?

    WHat about this? http://www.globalstoresgroup.com/pag...xies/442-98743

Loctite has a low friction epoxy, #3474, but I think they've changed their product numbers and I can't find any info because it's somewhat new.

    Gerry, Thanks.
I've considered using a teflon/graphite fill (self-mixed) but know that somebody has already done the "mixology" and probably got it right!
I'll check out Mcmaster re:filled epoxy. The Locktite is a bit "dear" for an experiment - and what would I do with the left overs?!
    Cheers - Jim
Experience is the BEST Teacher. Is that why it usually arrives in a shower of sparks, flash of light, loud bang, a cloud of smoke, AND -- a BILL to pay? You usually get it -- just after you need it.

Actually, the Mcmaster stuff is even more "dear" . $46.78 for 3.5 ounces. page 3165

I've seen Moglice prices somewhere, and if I remember correctly, the price was similar.
