To test my drives I just bootlegged everything together with the CPU 5A. I just purchased some DB25 cups and hoods to make custom wires to hook up to the Parker drives.
Also, a while back I got a nice belt drive 4th axis, but will use it hopefully to build my Harmonic Drive 4th axis...

haha
i wanna see how shiny this thing is.
Been busy last few days. I do have the stepper wires done, as well as the cables made for the drives. Unfortunately the DB25 covers I have stick out past the case, so I'll get some DB25 ribbon connectors. I used the cups I had and just used shrink tubing at each connection for now.
Pics coming soon...
Sounds good
Ok I have the wiring BSed together and the steppers mounted. Did some air cuts and all looks good. Just waiting for my buddy to get the 220 to the machine and I can test cut. Doing an all nighter now, will post pics later.... Stay tuned...

Retrofitting a DB25 breakout board.... I'll trim these up better once I have the electronics all sorted out.
So sweet ! Good progress Louie first chips are close now
Video up now (maybe still processing....) You'll have to lower the volume, as I had the MIC way up on the cell phone cam.... Also I paused mid job, which is why the machine is slow feeding back in to where I paused the machine....
Really good speed , perfect for engraving , ps: you got the craziest ground pattern that I have see in my entire life
boom.
those parkers make all the difference in speed. mmmm. what settings are you running? mach/emc unfortunately cant push them to their full potential of 256 microstep at 3000rpm.
