Seems like a nice project.... I've been pondering something like one of these for my brother.
I have had a good time digging through my 4400m. Dyna made some nice iron
Thanks for the advice, the initial plan was to go DOM and Floppy Emulator as you have suggested. I didn't at all consider the work offsets tool table and local edits. Part of this is due to my ignorance of CNC machining. I might revisit this after I get more experience with the system. The replacement of the original hard drive to the SD card adapter was successful. The only issues I had was removing the floppy, it caused a weird delay error on boot up. I disabled the floppy in the bios and fixed the issue. I'm in the process of remolding a new home and preparing the old one for a renter so my time is pretty limited. This still doesn't prevent me from working on it when the wife is not looking lol. I received the new lube system components and timing belts, I have 5 days off starting tomorrow so I hope to make a little progress soon.
What do you guys like for work offsets? I was looking at the Haimer. I already have the tool length sensor.

I know they make one with the Bt30 but if I get the 3/4 shank I can use it in my RF45 as well.
Looking to source some backup Axis Control Cards. Anyone have anything?
You could make some money selling the plans to that little tool changer. I should call Dyna and see if they would sell a copy of them.
