I used to do work for a company, who have several V550T and V550TM machines.

The rapid override does indeed work from the feed override as shown in your pdf. Ie 100%, 50%, 25%, and whatever is set in parameter 1421 (F0). Unfortunately this means if you want to run the machine with the override turned down, you also lower your feedrates.

I do vaguely recall there being either a keep relay or an OPR switch which allowed them to set 25% "permanently". But that may have been a customisation which my company made at their request.

Your other option would be to lower the parameters for rapid traverse.

    regards, Oz

    Thanks for the info.
I check out the keep relay.
If I have to I'll change the parameter.
    Thanks

    Re: Rapid Override?

This is from the Fanuc 31i B-63944EN/02 Vol.2 of 2 parameter manual. A lot of the low numbered parameters don't change from old controls to newer so maybe this can help. See attached.

    1420
Rapid traverse rate for each axis -Set the rapid traverse rate when the rapid traverse override is 100% for each axis.

    1424
Manual rapid traverse rate for each axis - Set the rate of manual rapid traverse when the rapid traverse override is 100% for each axis.
