    This really looks like a very nice machine! I'm planning to build my own and I find myself coming back to this thread over and over for ideas. Some things are hard to figure out from the pictures though, any chance you could share your CAD file?

    Opening holes on C45 steel. That'll be a backing plate for the chuck of my lathe.

    Hi,

    No, the side plates are fine but the table is weak. I also should've fix the base to the table. Another thought might be to mount the rail guides to the top of the extrusion and not to side. But that means a big change on the design.
