I enjoy riding ATV's in the Dunes of southern California. Pictured is a 500cc Polaris Predator I used to ride. I need to update my avatar as I have since sold that one and bought a Bombardier DS650cc ATV.

Oh MY GOSH. It has lots of GRUNT!

In one of my lives I'm an engineering writer. I take engineers' scrawls, notebooks, and drawings and turn them in to something that ordinary folks can understand and use.

At the time I did my Earthlink free click-n-build web page the default example.gif image was the earthlink robot. I though the Earthlink robot would make a neat looking avatar since it was the kind of image on my web page anyway.

    Why a wave?

When we're not cruising the south pacific we are in the US - and are starting a small business. The cnc router I'm trying to put together will be a key to our prototyping/modeling department. The CNCZone has been very helpful in getting me up to speed!

The wave is to be our company sig - and we've modified it to include the image of a sea dragon - The really observant/clever - or twisted, might also catch a hint of the yin-yang - its intentional. If I had the skill/time it would rotate and crash too - later maybe.
    Cheers, Jim:cheers:

    I choose this avatar because...

As stated before, the avatar has a bit to do with ones personality. The same applies for me. No, i am not a cat (and no horse either)

But it has to do with cats.

I love animals. All kinds. Especially my cats. I started out with two cats. They were supposed to be both female. NOT! So...after some time i had 6 cats. I gave one to my sister, one was run over by a car (i'll spare you the details) and one is now missing in action for about three months now. So i have 3 cats left, father, mother and one son. The cat missing in action looks a lot like my...avatar, he is called LEO. (lion-like appearance).

It keeps me sharp to keep on searching for him and not giving up.

    Mr. Ed

p.s. Theunis, realy nice avatar, i expected you would engrave that !
Not the horse, of course of course...

I'm working on it. I think you'll like it when it's done.

Sanitary reasons: picking one's avatar and displaying the results in public is not considered vulgar
First you get good, then you get fast. Then grouchiness sets in.
