    How do you split a project that is to big for your cnc?

    I'm just getting into cnc and can not figure out how to split a project that is to large to cut all at once. Can someone help? Thanks Dave8305

    Set part on machine so you can machine all the way to the one end. Make sure you have a straight edge somewhere you can indicate and a hole you can indicate. Then move to other end and indicate straight edge and then indicate hole and machine knows where part is. Set CNC program so xy axis goes thru center of hole you indicated. grigsby

    You could have the gcode split up so it only cuts the max amount and then move the piece down, with a new zero and then line it all up again and begin the code part 2.
