Hello there....I am new here and have been collecting some older CNC machines to play with. I have recently received a Nice Interact 1 mk2 with the Heidenhain 2500 controller. The machine was suppose to be fully functional and in excellent condition.....but I am having some issues.
When I power up the machine and go through the normal pre-run (I have the same machine with a 155 controller) and then try to get the spindle going in manual mode, I press the Tool Call key and get a (key is non functional) response from the machine. I have checked everything I can....including the Oil level.... Also, the light is on on the MT1 board
Can anyone help me with this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.....Thanks

why are you hitting the tool call button? It is a programming button. It serves no function in manual mode in any tnc AFAIK

HI there Gus.... Thanks for your reply. On the Heidenhain controllers I have used the Tool Call Key is used to initiate spindle functions....even in Manual mode. By the way, I did get this figured out....the machine was running in ISO mode instead of Heidenhain mode. There is a face plate that goes on the key pad for ISO....so the keys I used were not correct in that mode. Thanks again for at least responding. I have always greatly appreciated the help I have received on this sit!
