SMW Precision:
I found your title question quite confusing. Is the description "SPC Port" used to describe a serial or parallel data output port common useage?
Is the data out of this data port SPC processed data or is it simply a raw data measurement, like 1.005"?
Sure, I have output lots of data via an RS232 or current loop link, and this data is processed further or just looked at as raw data.
See my web site
www.beta-aa.com
Then go to photo P18 on AXLE PHOTOS page (last photo on the web page, and on a slow system will take 5 minutes to load). The raw data was processed at the destinaion go get the distribution curve, and represents about 1000 measurements.
Also see torque vs time for pinion preload adjustment on PIN PRELOAD PLOT page (not so long to load).
