I have a 4 axis router that I initially configured as Z and A on the first port (pins 2,3 & 6,7) and X and Y on the second port (same pinout). All was working well, but I wanted to change the pinout on the second port to allow for using 2-9 as inputs. I rewired port two to use 1,14 for X and 16,17 for Y. This gave me odd results. To get it to work at all, I had to change the "Step Low Active" checkbox (why would this change?). With the "ports 2-9 as inputs" box checked, the motion is very erratic. With it unchecked it works fine.
Both ports are PCI cards. Any ideas? Perhaps it is seeing something on one of the input pins that is causing this?
Thanks,
Joe
