    Travel distance is inaccurate.

This evening while trying to set up a part. TurboCNC seems to make is own travel distances.
If I go into MDI mode and run simple one line codes it seems to be fine.
If I load a program, the zero all my axis, run a couple of lines, stop program, then send the head back to zero. it goes to the negative side of X right on Y and on the plus side of Z by a .25".

Is there something to do with pulse settings I'm missing. The initial screen from TurboCNC states that I can set up to 24000 plus as a pulse code. I'm set at 2000. There is also a line of text that incates pulse settings above 150 can affect speed.

    TIA
    Neil

I leave my pulse width at Zero.... I've never had any problems with TurboCNC returning to XYZ Zero at all

If it works in MDI, I would take closer look into the G-Code itself. May be some command 'relocating' your origin/reference coordinate.

Make sure you are running in DOS and not a dos window. Make sure you have no memory managers running. It sounds like you are loosing steps.

Slow the accel down, and max start and try again.

Did your G-code place the controller in "Incremental" mode. If so change it to "Absolute" before you move the tool.
    Thanks

Believe to be fixed, Bad position record

Thanks for the quick replies gentleman. TurboCNC was reporting a Bad position record in TurboCNC.ini. I've since deleted this file and created a new one, and so far after some tweeking it is doing what is expected.

    Peace

Try posting a new thread with your information in the Title., You will need to know some info about your mill. Was it factory setup with a controller & steppers or was it someone's build? You'll need all the data from the controller & motors to set it up.
