    Okuma Captain L370M Prox Sensors

Hi all! I've been tasked at work with setting up four Okuma Captain L370M lathes. Programming with NX, built out a great post, ran first part family and parts FAL'd fantastic!

I'm now trying to run the next part family size (part is larger OD) and I'm getting a 1741 chuck unclamp error. Per an error manual I found online, the machine thinks my jaws are unclamped. In reality, I'm clamped at ~250psi and the part's rock solid.

I've read in other posts here that I most likely need to calibrate the chuck clamping proximity sensors, but nobody has explained where they are located or how to do it. I have no machine manuals, these were transferred from a plant in TX. Does anyone know where these proximity switches are located on a Captain L370M?

Thanks in advance for your help!

They are on the rear of you actuator opposite to your chuck. Only one can be on at a time.

Where is this actuator located? Sorry for being such a n00b with this, just don't know where this actuator is!

Look thru the center hole of your chuck. Where the hole comes out on the opposite end is your actuator. There should be a door that opens up for you to make the adjustment on the left end of your machine.

Found them! Perfect, thanks for your help with this. Looks like two sensors with slide-plates and tall wing-nuts that are made for adjustment.

    Thanks again!
