usb only on my laptop, can i still get an rs232 cable to communicate

I have a bridgeport with a 370 control, and a laptop with no parallel/9 pin ports, only usb connections.
What are my options for connecting to the nc?
I have seen some cables here on ebay.co.uk , but not sure if they would work,

Save your money. I could not get those to work at all.
If you have a slot for a PC card, that may be a good choice. Like this.

I have an older Anilam controller and I was easily able to transfer from a adapter I bought from WallyWorld. It converts from 9pin to usb. Used Windows Hyperterminal to send the file. No isssues
