hoping someone can help me out, i have 3 sanyo denki step-syn stepper motors that i would like to use in some sort of project. they are type 103G770-2517 dc 4.1v 1.1a 1.8 deg./step. i was wondering if anyone had any info or knew where to find any info on these, and more importantly, what driver to use or how to choose the right driver for these steppers. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

If I am not in a mistake they have six wires so they are unipolar. You can:
- wire it unipolar to any unipolar driver board capable of 1.1A, for example the FET-3 with current limiting resistors (www.stepperworld.com) or make a DIY unipolar board.
- wire it bipolar to any bipolar driver board capable of 1.1A (geckodrive at www.geckodrive.com, xylotex at www.xylotex.com) or make a bipolar DIY board.

To get a good speed you can drive it with 24V for example, or if you have a tight budget you can go with a 12V from a AT or ATX PC power supply.

PS: geckodrive are a bit overkill if you are in a tight budget
PS2: do not worry about the voltage, 8x to 10x the rated is OK, the limiting parameter is the current, do not go further of 1.1A.
