    Update

    Which one is better to remove the old and install the update, or install over the old one?

    I've never had to uninstall the old one. However, I think when madCAM 5 is finally released, I will probably uninstall the beta and do a fresh install.

    Without uninstall, it can happen that you get a double setup of tool bars. But that's not more difficult to fix than to remove one of them.
    I don't uninstall.
