    G0704 R8 spindle in a CT129N?

Does anyone know if it would be possible to put a G0704 R8 spindle in a CT133 from busybee tools? I'm looking at getting a CT133 and there's a busybee tools in my area. I was just curious if anyone knew if other parts from the BF20 type machines were exchangeable. I'd much rather have a machine with R8 than MT3.

    Edit: Oops, I meant CT129N

A CT133 is a Sieg X2 type machine not a Weiss so they are totally different. The CT129N is similar to a G0704.

Busy Bee apparently had an R8 spindle for the older MT2 CT129 as mentioned in this post. Unfortunately Busy Bee has since changed their website around so the links don't work. However the urls do give you the part number (CT129R8) for the spindle so you can ask at the store. I don't know if it will fit the CT129N though.

Oops..yeah I did mean CT129N, sorry about that. Yeah I did know they had a version at one point, was curious if anyone knew if they were close enough to actually be swappable. They are listed as the same part in the parts list for both machines.

Littlemachineshop will sell you a R8 spindle plus the necessary altered tapered roller bearings. Think about a belt drive, too so you can finish off all the X2s standard problems at once.

Ok so my bad, I accidentally wrote CT133 when I meant CT129N. The title has been changed the reflect this. I haven't seen any posts indicating if this is possible or not but it is a curiosity because R8 tooling is easier to find.

No ideas? I guess I might just have to try this myself when I get the CT129N.
