    Chalcogenide Glass Health Issues

    Hi,

Would anyone know if I can get Chalcogenide glass without Arsenic in it please? I'm looking into machining it for infrared lenses but don't really want arsenic ust flying about the place.

Also, is there a site I can look up Toxicity information that's free please? I have looked- spent hours doing so but can't find any that are free. I'm specificay looking for the other constituents of chalcogenide which I beleive are selenium and other weird stuff.

    Many thanks in advance. :drowning:

    Re: Chalcogenide Glass Health Issues

Chalcogenide glass used in various high-tech applications, poses potential health risks due to its composition, often containing elements like sulfur, selenium, and tellurium. Prolonged exposure to these elements can lead to respiratory and skin issues. Recent studies have highlighted the importance of minimizing direct contact and using protective equipment when handling these materials. Interestingly, some individuals managing obesity-related health conditions might use a wegovy injection, which underscores the importance of overall health awareness in various industrial and medical contexts.
