variable speed dial reconnection, or drive belt change?

The pin on the internal varialble speed drive system has come off, and the only way I see to reco it is to do a variable speed drive belt r&r. Would anyone know what has to happen to do this?

went deeper, and found out that the drive clutch had lost the set screw and sheared the nylon slide on the keyway. The bushing inside the drive pulley is also shot, so looks like a few parts have to be ordered.

Not a lot of fun, but once you find the right bolt, it all comes apart, and goes together quite easy!
