    Vanguard Machinery International

    Hello All,

The company I work for is considering purchasing a large lathe from an import company called Vanguard. They represent a Chinese manufacturer, I can't remember the name right now, I wish I had it handy but I can't seem to put my hands on it right now.

Does anyone have any experience with Vanguard Machinery International? We ran an inquiry on Practical Machinist but I can't get the thread to open right now. Several people had comments so I thought it best to inquire further on another site.

These are large CNC lathes, typically 48 to 60 inch swing, something like 236 inches between centers with Siemens or Fanuc controls.

We have a large vanguard manual that is fairly new, and it hasn't given us any problems after 9 months of heavy use. The only negative we would have about it is that the controls are a bit awkward, but since you are looking at CNC, should be no issue.
