    Z Probe issue - 6040-S80 Carving-CNC

Hope you guys can chime in. I cannot for the life of me get this darned thing to work. The manual is "lets just say" very spotty on this subject. For those of you who managed to get this working, can you please let me know the secret?

First you need to make sure you're using the screen set that has the area for the probe. It has a red "LED" square that should light up when you touch the crocodile clip to the puck's surface.

Then you put it on your work, make sure the puck height is set in the associated DRO (19.35mm for mine from memory) attach the clip to the tool and click the button.

However, with my 6040-S80, the LED would illuminate as soon as I clicked the button, despite having not yet touched the puck - I fixed this by dismantling the puck and reversing the connections.
