    Question Z axis is backwards?

    Hello

I just got my Sherline up and running and while making a simple square with the output from LazyCam I have found I have to manually edit the gcode file and reverse the z output to get the desired results.

On my mill, going negative on the z axis causes the z axis to go up. I believe this is incorrect right?

Do I just have to reverse the wires on the z axis motors to make z- go down and z+ go up?

I'm using MicroKinetics motors and a MechaTronics controller.

Just go into ports & pins and flip the polarity of the DIR signal for the Z axis.

The preferred method is Homing/Limits, reverse direction.
