    Fanuc dc spindle drive alarm

    I just received a Seibu lathe with a spindle alarm .
    A06B-6041-HXXX and a20b-0008-037 top board and getting led alarm over tach and error phase .
    When machine main power is turned on and shows NC spindle alarm light is lit ( on ) front panel before the control power is turned (never goes out of course ).
    Machine homes out ok but one time the spindle did the run away thing
    Any help would be appreciated

    Spindle run-away smacks of Tach loss and then the drive should shut down.

    So what causes the Error Phase on the board ?
