How to jumpered the old style dual axis board as ZS axis?
How to jumpered the old style dual axis board as ZS axis?
My machine has the old style dual axis boards for X/Y and Z/S, I will check later how the jumpers are set. There are a lot of soldered on wires on the board, too. I'm not sure if the soldered on wires are different on the X/Y and Z/S boards.
Hi fasto! Thank you for reply!
I would likte to try my old style DAB as ZS, because i have a new style DAB for these axis, and i get a "servo fault in Z" massege.
I hope this will be the solution, or getting answers.
OK. My machine has Fanuc drives, I'm not sure this matters. I have Ultimax V8.60 (or 8.61) This does matter, I have an old EPROM set for Ultimax 7.something. My old style Z/S board is set like this.
EPROM U45 = 450-3001-388
EPROM U48 = 450-3010-007
These are not the same as on the new style dual axis cards.
DIP Switches:
S1 (4 position DIP switch) 1,2,3 OFF and 4 ON
S2 (8 position DIP switch) all OFF
S3 (8 position DIP switch) 1,2,3,5,6,7 OFF and 4,8 ON
S4 (8 position DIP switch) 1,3,5,6,7 OFF and 2,4,8 ON
S5 (8 position DIP switch) 1,2,5,6 OFF and 3,4,7,8 ON
Jumpers - I followed the Hurco numbering of the 6-pin jumpers like the PDF on this site shows:
6 5 4
1 2 3
Pin 1 isn't marked on the board.
For the 3-pin jumpers I decided pin 1 is closest to the DB25 connectors.
For the 6-pin jumpers I decided pin 1 is closest to C77 capacitor.
The jumper settings below might not match the Hurco documents because of this.
TB1 = open
TB2 = open
TB3 = open
TB4 = open
TB5 = open
TB6 = 2-3
TB7 = 2-3
TB8 = 2-5, 3-4
TB9 = 2-5, 3-4
TB10 = open
TB11 = closed (1-2)
Programming shunts, these are 16-pin doodads that are one time programmable.
X1 = all connected
X2 = all connected.
The board for my Z/S is a 415-0176-009H. It's got a lot of soldered on jumper wires and cut traces on it. I will need a long time to type all these in. I don't know if these are required for the Z/S board or have been done on all old style dual axis boards. I will try to take some pictures because many repairs are not easy to describe in words, I will only do this if you have the correct EPROMS available. Please let me know.
Hi fasto!
Thank you for the thorough answer, but this is not the solution. I found the problem. There is a bad enginering document on this forum, how to set the Da2! There is a wrong setting in the table3 wiring type6.
THE TB19 JUMPER MUST BE OPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
