Here is my solution for adding limit switches to my 6040 router
The advantage is that I can tune the position where it kicks in. No special tools required other than a cheap ALDI threading kit.

Nice pictures. Why do you think you need to tune the limit switch? I mean, once it is set up I don't see any needs to change the limit switch position.

I'm not that great at getting the holes in the right spot, so it is good to be able to adjust
It is a nice feature to be able to adjust the limits when you have a slave axis. Then you could easily square the gantry when you home the machine by adjusting just one switch.
Were there a few choice words when you installed the switch in that last picture?
